Here's a great little example of the kind of thing we can tackle during a 1-Hour Virtual session. My client is working with a builder to transform their primary bathroom, and while she already has her layout and cabinetry design in place, she needed help pairing down and refining her many inspiration images to a palette that would work for her space.
In her email to me the day before, she said:
"There's a lot of different options and decisions that need to be made, and it seems a little overwhelming right now."
I totally get that! There's almost too much inspiration on the internet now, so narrowing down and figuring out how to pull in the different elements you like in a cohesive way can feel like a daunting task. Let's take a look at her inspo images!
Here are a handful of her inspiration photos from Pinterest:
Some things that stand out style wise to me:
Earthy
Wood tones
Soft greens
Warm whites
Layers of textures
Transitional/Rustic overarching style
Mixed metals
White countertops
Subway tile
Pulling together the finishes:
We started with the green cabinet as our jumping off point. Since we went painted for cabinets, we decided on a wood-look tile floor, though you'll notice two different colorways shown below. Which do you like better?
My client liked the look of the black hardware on the green cabinets, so I suggested a poilished nickel for the plumbing fixtures.
From there, we knew we wanted white counters, but I suggested something with both warm and cool tones, and a little bit of movement. Then, for our shower walls, we went with a more solid white tone, and brought in the greens and greys in the hex tile floor of the shower.
We we rattan mirrors which brings in warmth and texture, and for our our wall color, we went with a nice warm white (SW Alabaster).
What do you think? Which floor would you choose?

Like I said, this a great little example of the kind of thing we can tackle during a 1-Hour Virtual session, which is perfect if you have specific elements of your project you'd like to tackle that may not require a full day long session.
